The companion dog title is earned by obtaining three qualifying scores in the Novice class. 200 is a perfect score.

If you earn your CD title under AKC format, you may continue to show in Novice B indefinitely until you either earn a qualifying score in Open or earn a High-In-Trial award, at which time your dog is ineligible for Novice.

Stand for Examination 30 Points
Heel Off Leash 40 Points
Recall 30 Points
Long Sit (1 Minute) 30 Points
Long Down (3 Minutes) 30 Points
